SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER & hammertime

Yay! So first blog and yesterday was the last day of school! WOOT!

School ended early - around noon for all 3 kids at their 3 different schools. Afterwards, we all ate lunch at El Jalapeno with grandpa. yum!

Then serious shopping for camping stuff - we headed to the mecca for all things outdoors - REI! Boots, sox, liners, check, check, check.

Then to the doctors for physicals needed for scout camp, mountain man camp, athletics, track, diving, etc . . . We get there, fill out a billion forms (or at least 4) and then they put us (me and my two boys) all in one exam room. Now, my boys are pretty good but they are 17 and 13 . . . and the doctor left his reflex hammer right there on the counter . . . so as you can imagine, they had to test mine, their brother's and their own reflexes!! (What happens when you sit in the chair with your feet flat on the ground?) It was so funny . . . I had to text my brother. See, mom was a nurse and she always had one lying around the house. How many countless hours did James and I spend playing with that thing? O'course I had to show the boys how it's done. And we all giggled when the doctor came in and used it later. . . . But texting about this made James and I wonder whatever happened to that thing. We'd love to find it ... it would be a great memory reminder of our mother who is gone.
